The Condition of Waiting
It acknowledges that Jesus did not, on earth, divulge the date of His Second Coming so it is not revealed, though many try to speculate. In the same way the date of our own death is not revealed. The purpose of God is "in the waiting".
Believers are to use this period, long or short, to faithfully grow in knowledge, witness, serve and worship Him, according to His Word.
